JOHN FRIEDA
The London born John Frieda began his career as a junior for legendary stylist, Leonard, assisting on shoots for Vogue. Soon after, Frieda began editorially styling the Hair of top ’70s influencers for Magazines.
In 1975, he opened his first flagship Salon in London’s West End. The following year, Frieda created the cut that helped make him a household name-Joanna Lumley’s famous pageboy bob for The Avengers.
In 1988, with three Salons to his name, Frieda launched his first signature Hair Care Line based on a new prescriptive, problem-solving Hair Care approach.
In 1990, after teaming up with industry leader Gail Federici, John Frieda’s Frizz Ease line debuted in the United States. That same year, the first John Frieda Salon opened in the United States, in New York City.
Frizz Ease Serum became the number one Styling product in America and remains the U.K.’s top selling product for Frizzy Hair.
